The William Henry Belk House (Historic Preservation) Studio Fusion has been selected by the Presbyterian Hospital Foundation to complete the historic preservation of the famous Belk residence. Located at Hawthorne Lane directly beside the Presbyterian Hospital, The Belk House is a significant historical landmark in Charlotte's Elizabeth neighborhood. Built in 1924 and designed by renowned local architect Charles Christian Hook, this two-story, 16-room mansion is a stunning example of Colonial Revival/Classical Revival architecture with its double ascending staircase, large entry vestibule and floor-to-ceiling windows.
Pinkberry @ Phillips Place Pinkberry, the number one tart frozen yogurt brand, will open its doors in Charlotte, NC this summer at Phillips Place, marking the first Pinkberry in the Carolinas. Pinkberry is a one-of-a-kind frozen yogurt with innovative toppings such as fresh-cut fruit, pure pomegranate juice and rich Belgian chocolate shavings. Made with only the highest quality ingredients, Pinkberry will be swirling yogurts, parfaits and smoothies beginning in mid-July and until then is delighting Charlotteans with surprise samplings in a variety of places, including its storefront across from the movie theater at Phillips Place.
East Boulevard Bar & Grill This popular 3,200 square foot restaurant has relocated to Latta Pavilion. The modernized restaurant design features a more open layout with plenty of patio seating and overhead roll-up doors to welcome the outside in. The Grand Opening was August of 2009.
Lance Corporate Headquarters Lance’s new corporate headquarters takes the almost 100 year old company, well- known for producing high quality food products, and showcases their “blue collar” attitude with a 21st century corporate backdrop. Represented are the most current aspects of the work environment, with break out areas for any sized group, teaming areas and lounge spaces for casual collaboration, on-site training facilities and product marketing display. The design also pays homage to the company’s history, with etched glass panels displaying the brands and time line artwork highlighting innovation. Utilizing stained cherry panels, custom textured glass walls, a dynamic 2-story stair and spa-like colors, the modern design is a compliment to Lance’s high-energy drive to the future. We are thrilled with the space and the flow of the design. The project was on-time and on-budget, which is a true testament to the professionalism of Studio Fusion. Strike City One of our three new projects located in The EpiCentre, an exciting new development in Uptown Charlotte, Strike City is a bowling alley/restaurant/nightclub that has quickly become a popular destination for corporate events, after- work get-togethers, children’s parties and everything in between. Cypress on the Hill This project is a 4,200 square foot upscale restaurant situated in a renovated freestanding building on Franklin Street in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. The exposed ductwork, etched glass dividers, formed concrete bar top and translucent floating ceiling are just some of the details that lend to the contemporary aesthetic of this restaurant, which prides itself on using the highest-quality, farm fresh ingredients. The Grand Opening was February of 2009.

Firebirds - Charlotte, NC (open August of 2008) Since its inception ten years ago, Firebirds Wood Fired Grill has become a great success with 17 locations around the country and counting. The Colorado lodge design incorporates wine walls in the dining areas, dark wood tones, warm accent colors and stacked stone details, all of which contribute to the contemporary Aspen aesthetic.
Calabash Apartments is a complex located in coastal North Carolina featuring eighteen apartment buildings, seven covered garage/storage buildings, a swimming pool and pool amenity building and a 3,900 square foot clubhouse (shown above). The apartments are one- and two-bedroom units and will range in size from 790 to 960 square feet.
